Dell and TD SYNNEX Champion AI with New Laboratories

Dell Technologies, along with TD SYNNEX, is strategically partnering to introduce AI testing laboratories in Germany and France, with a planned expansion into the UK by the conclusion of 2025.

This initiative emphasises leveraging advanced technological infrastructure to facilitate AI solutions.

The laboratories represent a concerted effort to build, test and scale AI solutions, utilising Agentic RAG alongside Dell’s AI Factory, integrated with Nvidia’s state-of-the-art infrastructure.

This collaboration aims to provide channel partners with unprecedented access to AI solutions, testing environments and co-innovation opportunities to expedite market strategies.

Innovation hubs of this calibre are essential for fast-tracking the creation and deployment of enterprise-level AI solutions.

“The collaboration between TD SYNNEX and Dell empowers channel partners to unlock the full potential of AI,” says Craig Smith, Vice President – Data, AI and Applications – Europe at TD SYNNEX.

“By integrating pre-configured workflows, hands-on training and customisable proof-of-concepts, we’re redefining how businesses adopt AI solutions.

“Together, we’re accelerating innovation and helping partners bring cutting-edge capabilities to market faster than ever before – driving economic growth and reinforcing Europe’s leadership in the AI space.”

Importance for data centres

With intelligent AI applications highly coveted across industries, enterprises face the intricacies of deploying AI at scale.

Data centres remain pivotal in supporting AI development by providing the necessary infrastructure like high-performance computing (HPC) power, storage and networking, needed to manage substantial processing and energy requirements of these technologies.

Given their capacity to train and execute AI models, the demand for data centre capabilities continues to rise, placing companies such as Dell Technologies in a favourable position to support enterprise endeavours.

According to Dell’s survey, 82% of organisations reported receiving notable returns on investment or productivity enhancements from AI initiatives.

Nonetheless, a significant number, 93%, face challenges in scaling these technologies effectively.

To address these challenges, Dell AI Labs offer secure, structured environments for testing, validating and optimising AI models pre-deployment.

The labs aim to boost AI adoption while minimising associated risks.

A core feature, Agentic RAG architecture, facilitates real-time data retrieval and autonomous decision-making processes and is fortified by Dell AI Factory with Nvidia.

This technological framework supports enterprises by integrating structured and unstructured data, refining operations, enhancing decision-making and supporting modular deployment viable across varied sectors.

“AI is reshaping every industry and the future will be defined by how quickly we can bring innovation from lab to real-world application,” explains Anthony Hills, Director – Enterprise Business – UK&I at Nvidia.

“Through our collaboration with Dell Technologies and TD SYNNEX, the new AI labs in Germany, France and the UK, will help businesses accelerate their AI adoption, drive new discoveries and build the foundation for a more intelligent future.”

Innovating AI infrastructure for the future

The collaboration brings together Dell’s robust infrastructure in tandem with Nvidia’s leading accelerated compute, high-performance networking, and AI software solutions.

This integrated approach is tailored to ensure rapid development and deployment of AI workloads across numerous sectors such as finance, healthcare, government, retail and manufacturing.

Each lab is powered by:
  • Dell PowerEdge R760 servers with dual NVIDIA Hopper GPUs
  • NVIDIA BlueField-3 DPU
  • NVIDIA Spectrum-X networking
  • High-performance Dell PowerScale F210 storage
  • NVIDIA AI Enterprise software stack

Located within TD SYNNEX facilities, these labs will serve as regional centres of excellence, allowing Dell’s clientele and partners across Europe to quickly test AI Proof-of-Concepts, explore pioneering AI applications like Agentic RAG, collaborate with AI specialists and leverage pre-configured, scalable infrastructure.

Starting with Munich, Germany, developed in collaboration with the appliedAI Initiative, the labs cement themselves as vital locales for the end-to-end implementation of enterprise AI solutions.

The German and French laboratories will become fully operational by September 2025.

“At Dell, we’re committed to supporting Britain’s ambition to lead in the local development of AI. Achieving this vision requires building the infrastructure and cultivating the necessary skills to foster research, drive innovation and deliver breakthroughs that drive technological competitiveness in the UK,” says Steve Young, Senior Vice-President & Managing Director – UK at Dell Technologies.
